I did make the sock monkey, in fact I made four of them. (Paulette got the fourth.) It was fun and easy. I still had the directions from 30 years ago.
My friend Cynthia made Shae and Skyler's monkeys knitted scarves. We were at Bodega Bay and went to a garage sale. Cynthia was looking at yarn and asked Shae if she wanted a scarf for her monkey. Of course she did. Cynthia bought a little ball of yarn and some knitting needles and started knitting that evening. The kids were fascinated by the process.
